Pauline started as a professional guide in 2002.

She worked for Museum Victoria as a guide for 3 years when the walks were suddenly discontinued in mid 2005. During the same period, she also worked at RMIT's Capitol Theatre.

Pauline was subcontracted to inbound tour operators from Brisbane/Sydney on Coach tours of Victoria and Coach/Walking tours of Melbourne City, when she decided to start her own tours.

She registered the business name Walking Melbourne Tours and commissioned this website to promote her tours.

Pauline prides herself on her passion for providing more than expected, not just a comprehensive, factual interpretation, but the added benefit of entertainment and enjoyment.

This is reflected by the positive feedback from her tour participants.
